While working on another writing project, fulfilling some professional obligations, and handling a few personal matters, my time for the blog has become very limited. I have no real opportunity to research and dig for the new items that give me pleasure and teach me new things about my beloved France, and that I get joy from sharing with you.
I'm going to put The French Journal on hiatus as I work through the crunch period. My apologies.

I was wondering what was happening. Meanwhile, I started a new job--strange new world after not working for what seems like awhile. Its not a French job, but I'm using my Spanish this time around. But to keep up with my French, I'm taking translation jobs on the side. I'd like to take a trip on the side too, but who wouldn't!

Notre tres cher CL,
Your posts are always so enlightening, no matter what the frequency.
I'm feeling the same sort of time crunch, so I empathize!
Bon courage et bonne continuation,
Polly

It seems as though quite a few of us are experiencing the same crunch these days, CL.
You and PVF are two of my must-see early morning stops, but I'll get by because my own life is crazy at the moment.

I still am posting every day but doing less research of my own too. I find going to sites like ezine articles, hub pages, and squidoo can give me inspiration in times of need. Also a good video about some little know aspect of France helps. As does reading other people's blogs, get to writing so I can get inspired.

I will miss your frequent French updates. But, I fully understand. If I had known how much time I would spend blogging I probably would have never started.
Good luck with your projects. And, I hope that soon you will once again the FNN: The trusted source for all French news. ;-)
You will be missed. I will be looking forward to your return.
Merci et Bon chance!

Take care, dear CL, and don't work too hard. Thanks for the update. I feel pulled in many directions these days and often don't get time to "visit" as I would like, but am never disappointed when I do. You have an eye for the interesting. But if it needs to focus elsewhere for a bit, not to worry...
Meilleurs voeux!!

Ok, ok....this has gone on long enough! Even a greve doesn't usually last this long ;) I'm going through withdrawal and about to get addicted to something else, les gauloises, peut-etre, je te dis en rigolant dans ma barbe.

O blogger, where art thou?
CL, Your devoted readers miss you!
Hope all is well and this is just a temporary -- and positive --crunch.
I presume it has nothing to do with the beginning of Red Sox season. (Tour de France season, mebbe I could understand!)
Best of luck in your projects, but do keep us posted if you can spare a moment.
bises,
Polly
